McDonnell’s Tree Trim Quick, tidy and properly sorted shelter-belt hedge maintenance is what we deliver for thousands of hours cutting time each year. Continually building on that huge experience, we keep ourselves the proven go-to solution for hedge maintenance, minimum drama.

We have the best machinery to reach & complete the whole hedge trimming job across all types of rural terrain. We’re professionals in  every aspect of our service. Whether your farm (or lifestyle block) trees include the higher wind breaks, power-line clearances, heavy saw work, hill country, drains to reach across… we’ve done it all before. We’re all about the perfect balance of quick but tidy (and that includes being tidy with the trimming debris, not just the finished look of the hedges!). Whilst we know how to blitz through the job on the farm, we also work for lifestyle properties and are just as happy creating crisp, clean, beautiful hedges around your home. And, icing on the cake, we also have a clean-up service, please ask about our options!

We cut various types of hedges Barberry to Pittosporum and also shelterbelts and trees. The advantage of mulching cutter heads is that there is no mess to clean after the job. Tree Tech Hedge Cutting. Because hedges never stop growing, it’s important to keep trimming and pruning them regularly, particularly those planted in fast growing tree or shrub varieties.

We regularly provide hedge maintenance for farms and councils in the Canterbury region so can easily take good care of rural shelterbelts and hedging in parks, sports fields, roads and other public areas. We also have the experience, expertise and equipment to take good care of traffic management on any road to ensure the safety of all road users while carrying out hedge trimming and cutting.

And because shelterbelts on large sites are more difficult to keep trimmed and clear of power lines, they require the maintenance and care of power line clearance approved contractors like us.

Our consultants can meet with you on site to determine what your shelterbelt requirements are and tailor a cutting and maintenance contract to suit.
